Things got hairy there for a bit. Empire came in force once that explosion happened. Soon as we got to our ship there were comms going off about the Empire shutting down all transport in or off the planet. They even brought the big ships and, in the mass exodus of people trying to get their cargo out before they couldn't, they unleashed some tie-fighters.
Nothing I could do but hole up in my room and brace for maneuvers. Rohan is a hell of a pilot, but we ended up having Davin take over at one point. That black box we'd grabbed is apparently Empire data and they scanned us and figured out we had it. Rohan's clever plan of shadowing a freighter out worked until they clued in on us. HK and Deem took the guns and they were able to fire down a couple of the tie-fighters sent after us. And Rohan took over the astrogation task because Gryllus had to deal with the black box and shut it off from transmitting. Everyone pulled their weight - well, everyone but me, but face it, even if I weren't messed up, ship combat isn't my forte - and we got out of there just before things really turned bad.
The trip to Klatooine was unremarkable once we made the jump to hyper space, and we got through the customs agent- term used loosely, to arrive on planet and headed toward the city of Grishta. We were told, again, to mind our manners and respect toward the Hutts- a lesson we're still fresh on and would like to keep our streak going with.
The guy in charge of Hutt business on this planet is Karaga, and we set up an appointment with his protocol droid for sometime tomorrow. If all goes well, we will make our delivery to U'Larga, shop for some parts, and be out of here.
Gryllus and Doc looked things over. Gry thinks she can build up a cybernetic replacement- and I've seen her skill firsthand with that blaster contraption she made for Davin. Between keeping our ship space worthy, the droids she's patched up and her blaster mods, I've got faith she can do it. And Doc should be able to help her get things to work in conjuction with the non-mechanical bits. I dunno though J. Is it still going to be me after all this? Not that I'd ever admit it to them, but I still feel like I've lost something. And I mean, something beyond the flesh and bone of the arm that's no longer there.
Well... one bright side to having plasteel for a fist. It won't hurt to punch droids anymore, right?
